Sorting machine is designed for sorting pelagic fish: mackerel, herring, whiting.
Fish sorting is made by changing the size of the sorting slot between the shafts depending on the type of raw material. Regulators are installed at each end of the machine.
During processing, the fish slowly moves along the rotating shafts of the sorting conveyor line. When the width of the fish matches the width of the gap between the rollers, the fish falls through. Small and medium sized fish fall through the gap between the rollers andfall onto the diverting conveyorgoing to the Fish Milling Machine (FMM) for processing. Larger fish are directed to the exit of the machine and transferred to a conveyor for further processing.
It is possible to adjust the angle of inclination, which makes it possible to adjust the feeding of fish to the sorting device with the highest possible constant speed. The best machine angle is determined experimentally for each type of fish.
The feeding speed of different fish varieties is adjusted by means of a water flushing system. The volume of water supplied is adjusted in such a way that a water film is created over the entire length of the roll. This minimizes possible contact between the fish and the rollers.
